Nawaeb District is one of the nine districts of Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Located to the north and northwest region of Lae City, it is one the coffee growing areas of Morobe Province. The coffee grown here is real organic coffee as no chemicals is used to fertilize the soil. Recently, Vanilla was introduced into the area and has become a major cash crop apart from coffee. However, due to fall in price and lack of demand, the Nawaeb people have not really paid much attention to vanilla growing. Photos below were taken in August 2009.
