Southern Highlands Province is one of the seven provinces of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. It is home to some of the exotic waterfalls and large rainforests areas.

The largest oil and gas deposits of the Papua New Guinea is located in Hela region of Southern Highlands. Southern Highlands province was in 2010 divided into two provinces namely the Hela Province and Southern Highlands itself. Pictures of landscapes and places of Southern Highlands is shown below.
