Places and Landscapes of Central Province

Central Province is one of the five provinces of the Southern Region of Papua New Guinea. The coastal areas of the province is mostly covered by savanna grasslands. Mangroves is one of the common vegetation on the shoreline of Central Province. The famous World War 2 track called the Kokoda Track begins in Sogera plateau of Central Province and up the Owen Stanley Range towards Kokoda in the Oro Province.

Port Moresby, the capital city of Papua New Guinea is located in a seperate territory inside Central Province. Pictures of the many places and landscapes in Central Province is shown below:
