Western Highlands Province is one of the seven provinces of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. Western Highlanders have the fertile Waghi Valley which enables different types of crops to be grown for sale and consumption. They are also known as the business minded people of Papua New Guinea and provide the labour that produces the biggest share of coffee and tea in Papua New Guinea.
