Madang Province is one of the four provinces of the Momase Region of Papua New Guinea. The people of Madang sandwiched between East Sepik Province and Morobe Province display cultures similar to the Sepik and Morobe people. One of the renowned tradition of Madang is clay pot making clays. The Madang clay pot is linked to ancient trade that took place in the South Pacific. Traces of the clay pot made in Madang have been found in other islands of Papua New Gunea as well as the South Pacific. The Madang people can be seen participating in various Cultural Shows and Festivals throughout Papua New Guinea. Photos below show cultures and traditions of the people of Madang Province:
