Eastern Highlands Province is one of the seven provinces of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea.The people of Eastern Highlands, like the rest of the Highlanders of Papua New Guinea have unique body paintings made from various sources such as oil from plants, mud and clay. They are well known for various designs of on the face (face painting) as well as the body.

The Goroka Cultural Show is the premium cultural festival of the Eastern Highlands Province in is where many different cultures and traditions of the Eastern Highlanders is put on display. Other provinces are also invited to participate in the Goroka Cultural Show.
