Chimbu Province is one of the seven provinces of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. The people of Chimbu, like the rest of the Highlanders of Papua New Guinea have unique body paintings made from various sources such as oil from plants, animals (such as pig's oil), mud and clay. They are well known for body painting and face painting designs. The Chimbus normally wear headdress made from feathers of birds. Some of these feathers are as long as one meter in length. The Chimbus are proud of their culture and can be seen performing in various Cultural Shows and Festivals hosted throughout Papua New Guinea.
