Enga Province is one of the seven provinces of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. The people of Enga, like the rest of the Highlanders of Papua New Guinea have unique body paintings made from various sources such as oil from plants, animals (such as pig's oil), mud and clay. The Engans style is face painting in black. They carry spears and dance and sing. The Engans can be seen in many of the Cultural Shows and Festivals celebrated throughout Papua New Guinea. Photos below show the cultures and traditions of the Enga people.
