| Car Crash at Two Mile Settlement Port Moresby 6th March 2011 |
|
On the night of Saturday 6th March 2011 at about 3:30 am, the residents of Two Mile Settlement in Port Moresby woke up to the sudden crash of a Toyota RAV4 vehicle as it hit a tree next to the road and spiraled its way down into a settlement resident. In less than a minute, the site of the crash was swarmed with people especially young boys and men as they attempted to grab hold of whatever they could find in the vehicle. There were two passengers: a male and a female. Lucky for the two, the police had just arrived to save the female who was already being stripped naked. The residents of the yard tried their best to chase the mobs away but could not due to sheer number of them. Photos below captures the vehicle the next morning as it lays on one of its side next to a tree. Lucky for the residents of the house, the tree stopped the vehicle from hitting the house which had more than 10 people living it. If this had been the case, then it would have been a different story altogether.
